The news came on May 25 during B1 Boxing’s first press conference headlined by organization’s CEO
Alon Neumann, who represents
Quattrgroup
in
the promotion’s structure, said that creation of B1 is a logical step for the
group
that
has long been contributing to the development of Ukrainian boxing
at different levels.
“Quattrgroup worked with the Women's Boxing League, supported the Ukrainian Junior Championship in Khmelnitsky, international A. Chumakov trophy tournaments and, of course, ULions . We saw that young Ukrainian boxers have a huge potential, which often remains undiscovered due to insufficient support, and now we strive to realize it through B1 Boxing,” said the CEO.
According to Alon Neumann, B1 Boxing is one of the
components
of a large-scale project
B1 Promotions
to develop contact sports in Ukraine.
“We plan to
expand into
Brazilian jiu-jitsu and mixed martial arts under the
brands
B1 BJJ
and
B1
MMA
and create martial arts club
B1 Academy”.
Speaking
about
the founding
principles of the new promotion
company,
Myroslava
Peganova
noted that her team
primarily
aims at creating optimal conditions for promoting
Ukrainian boxers on the international scene as well as organizing
world-class boxing
bouts.
“B1 is not only a brand for us, but our
guiding
principle
of being
the first on
the market
in
terms
of how we build
relationships with
our
boxers, as well
the quality of the shows
and the scale of broadcasts. The two boxing nights
by
ULions
have demonstrated that there is a huge demand for
exciting
boxing events in Ukraine, and we work hard
at B1
to make sure
our shows
are
always an amazing experience.”
The
first event by
B1 Boxing will take place on June 12 at the ACCO International
Arena.
The
night’s card
include
the undefeated
heavy
Vladislav
Sirenko
facing off
against
French
Newfel
Ouatah, former European champion
Oleg Malinovsky
fighting for WBO
Intercontinental
belt
against
Nathanael
Kakololo,
as well as
promising super heavyweight
Igor
Shevadzutsky, rising star of women's boxing
Inna Statkevich,
Shtonda
brothers,
and other fighters.
